AMY TAYLOR NORTH — NC HOUSE DISTRICT 74

Active Member of the Community who Gives Back

AMY TAYLOR NORTH FIGHTS FOR:

Restoring local decision-making

🔗 Local leaders back Amy: See who (PDF)

Amy says Raleigh has taken too much control away from our local leaders. Jeff Zenger sponsored a bill to stop towns and counties from passing zoning or building rules stricter than state law. Amy believes communities should have a real say in how they grow, and mayors and council members from Lewisville, Clemmons, and Bethania have endorsed her.

Restoring nonpartisan municipal/local elections

🔗 In the news: WFDD

Voters in Lewisville, Clemmons, and other Forsyth towns used to choose their local leaders without party labels. In 2024, the General Assembly made those elections partisan in seven Forsyth County towns, and Zenger voted for it. Clemmons’ mayor said residents and the council never got a chance to weigh in. Amy wants to return these elections to the towns, so neighbors can vote for the person, not the party.

Funding public schools

🔗 Amy’s plan: northfornc.com

Amy is a PTSA parent at West Forsyth High School and volunteers with Community for Public Schools. She will fight to raise teacher pay and fully fund our public schools. She opposes private school vouchers that take tax dollars away from public school students.

Meet Amy Taylor North

Amy Taylor North is a small business owner, a mom of two West Forsyth Titans, and a homeowner in Lewisville and Clemmons for more than 20 years. She is the daughter of a union welder and Army veteran, and she helps care for her mother. In 2008, she created a national healthcare magazine.

Amy volunteers with Community for Public Schools, the West Forsyth PTSA, the Lewisville-Clemmons Chamber of Commerce, and other local groups. In 2024, she came within two points of beating Zenger. She calls her campaign “people, not politics,” and neighbors from both parties are helping her Do.MORE.Good.

💰 Follow the Money

Amy’s campaign is powered by people. As of June 30, 2026, more than 800 individual donors had helped her raise over $475,000, and about 93% of it came from individuals.

She doesn’t take corporate PAC money, and she has outraised Jeff Zenger.
